I Rise

Carmen M Matias 1977 (Puerto Rico)

Like A Phoenix I Rise
I Rise From The Ashes of My Past, My Youth, My Infancy
I Shed The Toxicity of Yesterday's
Bringing Fourth The Firm Foundations Of Wisdom Gained And Applied
I Rise
Like The Sun Anew In Every Moment Of My Existence
Present Attentive Always Alert And Accepting Of The Journeys Along My Life's Path
Looking Forward to My Futures Chapter
To What will Be My Legacy
I Rise, I Rise, I Rise
Soaring Higher Than Ever Could Be Imagined
I Rise
In The Name Of My Ancestors Before Me
I Rise
