Tears of Rain

Why are it always rainy days I feel so empty
I think the earth feels my pain too
I overthink everything
The words spitting from your mouth sound untrue
maybe I didn’t look clearly into the rearview
Eventually i'll forgive you
but I’ll always remember that rainy day
and what you put me through.

About this poem

This poem explores the emotions of emptiness, pain, overthinking, and betrayal. The rainy days symbolize the speaker's melancholy, while the idea of the earth feeling their pain suggests a deep connection with nature. The poem delves into the complexity of trust and forgiveness, with the memory of a specific rainy day serving as a reminder of the hurt caused by someone's words and actions.
