Back to Class

I have had a fun summer but now it ends
and I Have to go back to school,
all over again

I despise the desks,
the classes, the notes
But I will keep out one
Glimmering hope

That school will end early
for maybe a week,
so I can go home
and play on a screen

for I do not like school,
but the friends instead
I will surely want to be home
playing games instead

But alas I sit
at the edge of my bed
all these strange thoughts
sneaking in my head

Now I am not insane
but truly in pain
and I do not wish for anyone the same

Going back to school
is one of the feelings worst
I'd rather be home
eating some bratwurst

But school is not that bad
But the classes that ache
and the crippling rules
That I truly hate
