Between

Reading between the lines in fleeting thoughts

at the threshold of our knowing

obscured, rather than enhanced
by our perspective parallax,

Losing the wealth of vision
seen better in depth

As if blurred by apparent inconsistencies,

Perhaps because what existed before
we have this day together

as long as pieces of pasts
remain a facade of fading memories

Things we seldom share

which were in reality
were never quite what they seemed to be

To coincide with the tides of our relationships

Rising

Falling

at the whims of our greatest need

Emotions feeding waves
of motions traced

By no mere coincidence
to appear to us,

Whenever we allow
former shadows of ourselves,

make intrusions into our self-conscious sight
seeing our greater life dancing between

Rising to find
all traces of love in our relationships,

hopelessly shattered and further,
destroyed

Our treasured commitments

Fundamental in fulfilling our need for love

Made null and void

devastation beyond saving grace

losing, our sacred space

Even to the point of poisoning

the womb of our greater understanding

of a need to keeping our relationships healthy and strong

Most importantly
the salvation of its seed…

Instead of just making it
the bookmark in a story

Continuing to fall helplessly
back into the stream

Where being in love
has never really found meaning,

just a moments passage
in passing

merely A patron to the extreme,

In quiet moments felt in gently kept

Emotions gleaned, fed by tears
to cleanse away

The harsh reality
and fear,

that we have lost…

That we shall forever remain alone

What could be never for us

Beings composed of pure living energies

Whenever we cry as love beings,

as if to atone for imagined transgressions
worthy of self-sacrifice

Bring to mind the persistent truth,

even though we may be blind apart

together we see.

For in our hearts we help
each other

even in our dreams
