Condescending

Condescending.
With a patronizing attitude.
Used to delude one's superiority.
As if a weaponized tool.
To display and show to others,
A kept pretentiousness.
Of a teaching accepted to believe,
One sits above others.
Resting in a comfortable nest.
While looking down upon them.
Done to perceive,
Their insecurities to cover them masked...
Will also keep hidden to disguise,
A faking to imitate a self importance.
Appreciated by those who too charade,
Self righteousness.
Protected and unaffected,
By a way of life to live it sacrificed...
To a denial minimized,
Into an unconsciousness.
Selectively done when convenient.

Condescending.
With an intentional purpose,
To undermind anyone...
Discovered to find,
Having an ethnic identity proud to display...
Competence.
With confidence known to show it.

And definitely amusing when said to be,
Articulate, self assured and unlike...
To be quite different.
Than...

'Unlike and quite different than...
What?
Or who?'

'I...uh...well...I...,
I Don't mean my comments to be interpreted,
As being patronizing or condescending.
I just did not expect someone like yourself,
To speak as well as you dress to impress.'

'Oh...
How a train to envision moving forward.
Only to change tracks going backward.
Leaving even the engineer,
Lost for an explanation.'

'Excuse me.
Was that a statement or a thought spoken,
That I should or not understand?'

'Personal reasoning.
Trust me,
I do understand.
I didn't assume you were patronizing me.
Or being condescending at all.
No.
How could you?
Afterall,
Everyday and wherever I go...
I am profiled from head to toe.
From front to back.
Inside and out, microscoped.
With a doing to keep me reminded,
I am no stranger to fashion.'

'Huh?'

'Or the latest trends to create a few myself!
There are times when colors,
To see them separately.
Would not be thought to match perfectly.
Until...
Their differences are more appealing.
When seen how well they look together.'

'Yes.
Exactly.
You are a unique individual.'

'And...
Don't forget,
I am quick on my feet before that is noticed.'

'Before...
What is noticed?'

'Preventing myself from making,
Unnecessary accusations made.
With a jumping to conclusions.
Without having a clue,
As to what the contents are inside of a book.
Covered to sell something other,
Than a familiar, anticipated wasting of time... And nonsense to pretend it tolerated.'

'Uh...
Okay
Yeah.
Yeah.
Right.
Of course!'

'I almost forgot,
Why I am here.
Isn't that something?
You have the mind of a wizard.
And your presence oozes with wisdom.
Now...
Should I begin the interview?
Or do you prefer to start?
And please...
Please don't say I am over qualified.
I have heard that so many times.
Even after I had been hired,
To fill a temporary position as a janitor.'

'A JANITOR?
I don't believe it.'

'I said the same thing.
Especially when I learned to find out,
The person who hired me...
Not only faked their credentials.
NOR Could read OR write.
And had been the youngest son,
Of the founder of a family company.
I'm telling you,
Ignorance and nepotism,
Is a high price to pay to pass judgement.'

'Interesting.
Excuse me.
I don't want to be rude.
Can we meet tomorrow; same time?'

'Sure.'

'My father-in-law has invited the family,
To have lunch in the conference room.
Hopefully not to discuss family business!'

'Hey.
It is what it is until it isn't.
And sometimes,
If it isn't what it should be?
It should be laid out on the table.
For all sitting to deceive themselves,
To face the truth for what it is.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone.'

'Uh...
I got just the right position for you.
You have an hour or two?
You're right.
Tomorrow can wait.
I want you to meet my father-in-law!'

'Your...
Father-in-law?
Why?'

'There is nothing like the right time,
In the right place to update the facts of life.
From...
Another point of view not to expect it.'

'Uh...
At whose expense?'

'Is that a yes or a no?'

'I accept this challenge.'

'LOL.
Challenge?
Naw.
It will be fun.
Trust me!
Oh...
And my father-in-law,
Claims not to be a bigoted racist.'

'Oh?
What is he?'

'A fossil,
Buried under conservative beliefs.
And hypocrisies to follow them to worship?'

'LOL...'
