Love Misplaced

Steve Cochrane 1955 (Cape)

I lie in bed each night to sleep,
But hours are so few
In which my mind will let me keep
My thoughts away from you.

I hope to have some pleasant dreams
Throughout each lonely night,
Yet, hope is all I have it seems
Until we can unite,

For though you say I soon will be
Content without you here,
I'm trying hard to help you see
My love won't disappear!
