"Fading Echoes of Love"

In love's sweet dance, a boy did twirl,
His heart once full, a precious pearl.
But a girl's departure, like a fading dove,
Left him lost, his heart without love.

Once laughter echoed, hand in hand,
Now empty spaces, like sinking sand.
Her absence cast a shadow's cloak,
In love's warm fire, his heart now broke.

He built a wall, emotions concealed,
Scared to trust, wounds unhealed.
Yet deep within, a flicker remains,
A chance for love to break these chains.

Time may heal, wounds softly mend,
And broken hearts can surely mend.
Though love's scars may never erase,
Hope whispers of a brighter embrace.

About this poem

This poem beautifully captures the journey of love, loss, and healing. The imagery of the boy twirling in the dance of love paints a picture of youthful innocence and joy. The contrast between the initial happiness and the subsequent emptiness after the girl's departure is palpable.
