Whispers of Solitude

In the depths of my being, hidden I lie,
A shattered teenager,
Dying on the inside,
Surrounded by false smiles and feigned joy,
While my life fades away, silently in subsides.
My days  count down,
Slipping away,
Without pause, Like theads of time vanishing into the dark,
And within me dwell unspoken words,
Thoughts lost in the vastness of eternity's mark.

Oh, how I long to open myself to others,
To find genuine and sincere friendship true,
But cruel fate has snatched  away from me,
The chance of having companions whole and few.

My spirit resides in lonely shadows' embrace,
Amid hollow laughter and indifferent faces,
And in silence,
Whispers my internal agony,
As the world beyond remains unaware of my traces.

Oh, how many words I whised to utter,
Unifulfilled promises,
Desires left undore,
But my time is running out,
My light fades away,
And in the stillness of night,
I await my rising sun.
May these lines serve as a silent echo.,
Of a broken heart and a shattered soul,
For in the end of my melancholic existence,
Perhaps I'll  find the peace that was always
Withheld.

About this poem

his poem is about the feelings of a fourteen-year-old boy who is on the verge of taking his own life. He writes a poem (or letter) as a final cry for help, drawing from my own experiences at this young age and the loneliness I feel.

At 9 years old, I experienced severe physical abuse from my father, who faced a criminal lawsuit and is now calm. Currently, I am 14 years old, attending school, and living with my mother and younger brother. more…
