The Withering Storm

I woke up this morning, as I normally do
Not knowing later, that a storm will be coming through
I have so much to say, and not sure where to start
Trying to repair, a completely broken heart
I couldn't see what was right in front of me
The signs were hidden, inconceivably
I feel I have failed, and let you down
And for that, you are no longer around
The floods of water, stamper the ground
For I only can hear you, in a whispering sound
My thoughts are scattered, like whiplash
Are you ok dear, this I ask
Do you fly like a bird, deep in the wind
Or is there darkness in the end
Are you able to hear the words I say
Can you hear my cries and screams when I pray
Is there a form of life, where you are at
Or is it a myth, and not a fact
What were your thoughts, when you took your last breath
Did you have clarity, coming to your death
Did you fly in the sky, like a ray of light
Is there a difference between day and night
Why did you leave me, you promised you stay
I did not expect life this way
What could I have done, to make things better
I am very grateful, for my letter
I miss talking to you every day
I know you're free, but I wish you stayed
Still have lots of anger, and need to shout
Trying to come to terms, in all this doubt
I know you stated, that you were stuck and alone
Thought you were protected, staying at home
Didn't realize, you were so alone
Can you talk to me, from the other side
Or are your rules different, and can't be denied
Even though my heart aches, I want you to know, I'm not mad
I go through mixed emotions, from angry, to dispair, to very sad
Can't wait to see you again, my dear
Until then, I'll do my best here
