Shadow monster

There's a monster in My Shadow

It follows me wherever I go

This monster must be aware it knows I know it's there

There's a monster in my shadow

I can hear it's whispers

I can hear it's steps

I can see a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye I know it's there for certain

There's a monster in my shadow

I can even see it in my mirror

It stares at me and I stare back

It smiles when I frown

Showing it's teeth when I say leave me be

There's a monster following me

In the dark it will roam in the dark it Will creak

If I don't speak

And Don't listen to the shrieks

if I don't look

at what should not be seen

I won't notice the monster staring at me

I do not trust this monster

that lives in my shadow

I do not trust this monster

I do not always

see
