Saying Good bye Jo

Joalee 1976 (Salinas)

O I been gone for a minute now
Sleeping prettily in my memory
I wonder if she knows somehow .Her life is over now . All the things she's known have been left behind and overthrown .  I hope she. Slips back inside happily. Into the flesh she used to detest  all the. Misery someone had to hold the blame. The only one she could hold accountable in her life was her own   was her flesh. . oo for the unrest. The stress the anxiety. And the ocd thinking leaving their mark killing her slowly . Oo but she's been trapped in box  called a home hidden in the dark ihidden what would be her room pretty much. By herself. Save the times she left that door .. she was poor in spirit love and experience  suicidal tendicies eating at her mind. . say good bye Jo say good bye. There's nothing left of that old life. The misery of twisted  tales and endless pain. Where I  should of been safe.  Defaced over  over n over compromised and pushed to the point of no return oo so they yearned.. but say good bye to Jo. Thats not who I am. It's what they did with my name it's what they tried to make me before I was 18
.. o say good bye joalee. The pigeons. Finally flown. The coocoo nest. Better left. With the people. Who raised me. Their clutches. N claws scars and hate .. let it all fall away and. Joalee say goodbye. To the girl they called Jo  and open your eyes joalee and say hello to the real life real people. Their ups and their downs their beauty and their stories transgression and  connections And blessings behold  . You finally broke the mold.   So say goodbye jo
I wonder if she can tell  o but she wasn't feeling well.
Maybe it's for the best .. she never did get any rest.
Always on her toes never letting things go .  Trying to recover to rediscover the world she never known. Being all on my own hiding in the dark dreaming listening to tunes praying for the day I'd be free  no one to call my own and all that i loved. I loved alone never shown . Saying good bye Jo  and say hello to being free even if I fail. I'd rather say goodbye instead of being misled and walking dead
