Just this side of Madness

Just this side of madness
Its always just one breath away
I walk that sharp line every day
Societal slavery is plain to see
At least once every moon, it overtakes me
The walls and the wastes
The ceilings and the floors

At least one time before I sleep
Ill imagine a life without doors
Barefoot in the mud
With the rain to get clean
Eating fresh herbs and berries
In a wildflower dream

Just this side of madness
When I stare at the moon
My womb stirs with truths
Like a bass rhythm of an ancient tune
If I let go, the madnesss will set in

If I let go, I wont be back again

Societal's calculated world
Has no truths that are clear
The information everyday
Only deepens the tare

Just this side of madness
I dream myself free
And beg ancient knowledge
To come and find me

Just this side of madness
