I Did

I faced eviction,
I felt pain,
I was Alone wandering like a lost soul,
I was accepted,
 There was peace,
I felt fear again,
I crossed
The Nile
The desert as a believer
A journey it was,
I grieved
I got up,
I kept walking
The light taunting me,
It was the beginning of the end,
I took small steps,
and slowly, day by day
I felt hope again, that is what I did
