Hope, Love & Faith

What is this life
I'm living with fear?
Yet not without hope
As I know You are near.
I feel like I'm about to fall
Off the world as if it were flat
But You pull me from the brink
and meet me where I'm at.
I still don't understand
Why I had to fall so far
In order for me
To truly open up my heart.
I feel like I'm holding onto
A frayed, skinny rope
But no matter how tattered
I still hold onto Hope.
What is this life
I'm just beginning to trust?
No matter what happens next,
I can rely on Jesus.
What is this hope
That will never disappear?
It's a true sign of faith
And blocks out most of my fears.
What is next for me
Will you open another door?
Whatever happens I know
You love me and will guide me
As I trust You more and more.
What is this faith?
I will follow whatever route
You choose
It's a mystery why you love me
But I am grateful for You.
I believe in Your promises
And though I don't yet understand
I will trust in Your Word
And leave my future in Your hands.
