Hoax Almost

I feel hollowed away
Losing myself bit by bit;
Retrieving being impossible almost
Futile was the possible

Not knowing, not caring
Became such a routine;
It almost felt so familiar
But not familiar enough it seemed

Unrecognizable it had been,
Meeting myself I mean;
Oh, how much I'd altered myself
Altered till I couldn't be seen

This enmity I feel
Enmity directed towards me;
This feeling that constrained myself
Restraining my authenticity

Everlasting despise, conceived within
Overlapped with layers of hoax;
Credible enough to believe
Illusive enough to deceive

Beneath the fabricated layers
The one's so discreet;
Lies something so primal
Something almost never seen

A broken me, that's cracked underneath
A dejected me, concealed with sorrowful glee;
A furious me, hateful enough indeed
A resentful me, despising everyone better than she

Built with ruptured peices,
All hidden away;
Almost something anew
Yet to be genuinely complete.

About this poem

This poem talks about how much I've changed. How my authenticity has been blurred as I grow older.
