Go By
Sitting, staring into the water while life passes me by,
Movement all around me,
but your face is all I see,
Blue dragonflies remind me of your eyes,
White Butterflies remind me of your beauty,
Schools of guppies make me wish you were beside me,
The sun feels warm like your hands when they caress me,
I feel pain thinking that you look into my eyes and not see that you hold my heart in your hands,
Everything is going by but me,
I’m paralyzed,
Fighting back tears while realizing that I am living my fears that we’ve lost each other,
But wishing that we could travel back in time, to a place where the outside world doesn’t exist,
And all doubts melt away with one kiss,
Where you hear my thoughts when we stare into each other’s souls,
Not saying a word, but feeling safe because we are not in this world alone,
I turn around an there you are!
I feel you, touch you,
Your presence makes me melt,
One look at your face and joy is what I felt,
My eyes start to drip as your beautiful essence is near,
My heart is whole again,
Is this a dream?
No, it’s my dream come true,
It’s you,
Standing before me,
I’m so happy you didn’t just…
