I understand now
Why Gen-Z no longer wishes to fall in love Why so many choose to wait
Or not even try at all
I understand why Gen-Z no longer wishes to fall in love
It seems that everyone has been hurt By a "crazy ex" or a "guy from the past"
No one seems to be passionate anymore
About something that was once so sacred
To generations before us I understand why Gen-Z no longer looks for love
The demand of today is high And life seems to be better in those
"Situationship" moments
Rather than committing to someone who could hurt you
Over and over
But cover it up with an "I'm sorry, I love you"
I understand why Gen-Z no longer believes in love With the rise of divorce among their parents
I can only imagine the personal view they get
When two people "in love" quarrel with a means to no end I understand now
Why Gen-Z no longer wishes to love one another
Because something preciously given may not be returned Out of fear of being hurt..
