Fading love

Karabo Moloise 1999 (Pretoria)

One day you'll follow me
your eyes will be open
and you'll realize the love I had for you
is now the love you have for me
but that won't be enough for you
to even get the half of me

Your eyes will be open again
and you'll realize that I just wanted you to
see
I just wanted you to see
physically,spiritually and emotionally
what it is that you mean to me

But its too late now ,slowly I'm setting you free
so you can be what you always wanted to
be
And when you come back to me
You won't find me where you left me
I too have things which I aspire to be
So when you come back you won't mean anything to me
And waiting for you was top of the list

How things change now you fading away like mist

Atleast I can see the sun now
Goodbye

About this poem

This poem is about letting go of someone who I have shared the best part of life with, and sadly like how life is no matter how much you love the person but when it's time to let go, it's time to let go. So, with this poem I was letting her go.

I write poems about emotions, I believe that's the only way to really let go of unhealthy emotions and a way to experience new emotions. more…
