If only I can…
And cry
My lament
And bellow
Shout my sigh
And There –
Boundless sky
 To the
Up high
I’ll fly
Then
Oh, so steep
From this mountain
My feet away
If only I can keep
Oh, so deep
This well
High above
If only I can leap

As a classroom teacher for more than 3 decades, writing poems is a personal "healing balm" from the varied classroom encounters. I am looking forward to my retirement a few years from now.
