The daily rise as I open my eyes and begin to dress into my disguise
Another day to navigate through as my anxiety begins to turn me back into a Shrew
The light shines through my window pane
Another day crippled by this damn name
Anxiety lives anxiety breathes it also has me down on my knees
Another day to travel with it behind me
Yes I'm suffering from anxiety no need to remind me I hate the name that brings me pain
Nothing anxiety gives me I can call a gain
You cripple me daily as I travel my path
The hate and the shame it has chosen to give me
This broken shell of a man that lays in the bath
Challenges excite me as I run for the hills
Anxiety is a name that gives me the chills
My breathing paces when I travel to places
Anxiety has me running for the wide opened spaces
The unerving noises that makes me pause whatever I am doing even my chores
The mask I wear that I call my saviour prompting excuses for my behaviour
The sounds still echo like a sonic boom as I lay in silence in my room
So many chances and opportunities missed
All because I am crippled by this it dampens my spirit and brings shame all because of it debilitating name
Anxiety is a thing I know all to well somedays I'd wish it would pack its own bags and return back to hell
There's days I fell positive just for a while as I drag this anxiety with me for another new mile
