BLUE

BLUE
What is blue except a very varied color?
Blue is found in the vast expanse of sky when the sun is beating down.
Blue is the ocean, the seas of the Caribbean.
From palest blue to a deep saturated azure sheen.
Blue can be the cold piercing eyes boring into my soul,
Or the the sweet twinkling spark when you are pleased.
Blue is the color of my slim fitting jeans
Ranging in washes from light, medium or dark navy denim.
It is the dusky color of a plump blueberry before i pop it in my mouth.
It is the greyish blue of a snowy mountain peak where skiers slalom down to frosty valleys.
Blue is the jewel color of gleaming sapphires and fragrant tulips in spring.
It is the fashion color of braids and ponytails on young girls’ heads
Or the sllek cobalt or a suit or dress when trying to impress.
Blue is the color used when you are feeling out of sorts
Blues is the music that is wrenched from a sax or french horn .
Blue collar workers in contrast to blue bloods.
Calmness and serenity is found in a room painted blue
And it is the color most associated with boys and men’s clothes.
Elvis Pressley made famous a song about “Blue suede shoes”.
Photographers say it is the most photogenic hue.
I hope one of these is the reason that you love the color blue
