Bird of Paradise

Manuel John 2000 (Jiwaka)

In worlds where colours grow gracefully,
A wonderful spot among beautiful regions
A paradise bird takes flight,
A brilliant sight, a feathered masterpiece.

Its plumes are ornamented in vivid colours, like the end of a rainbow and morning dews, and it lives in the gardens of Eden, where fragrant flowers abound.

Its beak is pointed and sleek, like a dagger.
Nature's delicious shop, seeking nectar
It drinks from flowers with grace and poise, like nature's gentle lips.

It moves in dance, a captivating performance.
A beautiful ballet, with a lovely flow
Its mighty wings spread with pride.
Colours woven together in a tapestry.

Its tune is a breezy song.
Across ancient forests and gorgeous waters,
A serenade that reverberates far and wide,
A symphony of the heart
