Bawo uthuleleni

Qama Myekelwa 1999 (Mthatha)

Bawo uthuleleni

Saze saphila kwixesha elinameva angabangulekiyo
Andinantshaba ndizondelwa endingayaziyo
Mihla le zinyembezi inene Lo mthombo awomi
Kwakunin bekophula ntliziyo yam womelele hayi ndiyakuvuma
Oh Bawo uthuleleni?

Wathi awusokuze usinike imithwalo engapha kwamandla
Kodwa silandelwa zizifo ezingapha kwamandlaZifo ezingenanyango ezixake oogqirha abanamandla
Veki neveki ngumphanga ndise ndaphel'amandla
Yhini Bawo uthuleleni?

Mfundo awunaxabiso khawusimele mfondini
Mali asunwabanga ulizinyo lenkukhu mfondini
Ntwalo khawususe ikati eziko mfondini
Dadewethu zikhulisele akuzalelwana mfondini
Kanti Bawo uthuleleni?

Sikukhuphiswano inene sobona ozoqal'afike
Makhelwana akuthethiswana kaloku izindlu azifani
Mntwana wam andinayo amakhaya akafani kaloku
Ngxaki zindixakile ixilongo malide likhale UYesu afike
Kazi Bawo uthuleleni?

Khawundiph'apha wena uzakundipha ni
Zange ndaxakwa Kazi ndothini kuthini na
Akusoluleki ngeenyawo ziyobisi mfo nolusebelen luyakwazi
Sekwanqaba nemitshato amadoda ngodla bantu
Sendakruquka makhe ndivale owam umlomo
Bawo uthuleleni?

About this poem

This poem is about Everything that's going on in the world.Corruption, gender based violence, unemployment, sibling rivalry, diseases, death and Drug abuse. All this is happening and God seem to just be silent. We pray we fast but there seems to be no answer.Wr start doubting about God because of the hardship we come across. And all that we desire is to be silent like him forever... meaning we just want to die so we can rest.
