Addiction for Social media

In a realm of glowing screens I tread,
Where time slips away, and sanity's thread.
A modern addiction, consuming my soul,
Social media's allure, its powerful hold.

TikTok's enchantment, a captivating dance,
An endless scroll, a digital trance.
In snippets and hashtags, I find my escape,
Lost in a world of filters and fake.

Hours turn to days, as I chase the thrill,
A virtual realm, where moments stand still.
But beneath the surface, a hollow embrace,
Loneliness masked by a smiling face.

Validation sought through likes and shares,
Yet the void within, it silently tears.
A hunger for attention, a constant need,
As reality fades, and I continue to feed.

Friends become shadows, mere pixels on a screen,
Human connection replaced by a digital routine.
Lost in comparison, the numbers define,
My worth measured by followers, a dangerous line.

Oh, social media's grip, relentless and strong,
Stealing my time, as moments slip along.
I yearn for freedom, to break these chains,
To rediscover life beyond the digital plains.

So let me unplug, and reclaim my space,
To savor the world, at a slower pace.
For true joy lies not in a virtual display,
But in genuine moments that won't fade away.
