A peck by fire

All my tears are spent
Imploding, the best way to vent
Vigilance truly is not an easy job
The pungent smell of the medicines, your skin absorbs
Her legs are bound but her hands open for a cuddle
The joker of life lost in the shuffle
She trembles like a fish, sending chills across the room
Reverberations felt by the ceiling,on the verge of doom
Yet ,there she is
Beautiful in her scars
Rebuking the sting, holding the door of light ajar

About this poem

This was written when my aunt was in the hospital and I had been put on watch duty the whole day for a month. It portrays how humans hold on to the very last beat of heart.

There is no philosophy behind the absence of my photo as I really don't have a decent one. My writing generally gives the impression of a sad life but the truth is I reflect whatever is portrayed in front of me. Fun-loving, carefree, and slipping on the downhills,I basically am a young adult wearing a coat of emotions. I still come home all muddy playing with small kids as I feel everybody should confine childhood in some or the other way. This will lock happiness and water the buds of love. Not everyone has to agree to this, but maybe just give it a shot. more…
