Love At A Distance!

Evans E Bradley 1949 (Washington, DC)

Throughout my life, I have searched for affection,
But all I could find was false hope and rejection,
Then one day You came into my life,
The only problem was you were not my wife,
Then shortly afterward from China no less,
There came a Virus called COVID-19 and it was a mess,
I suddenly found my life turned inside out,
Because in You who I knew so little about,
With the pressures of my passions sleeping within,
You had lit the fire that awakened them,
But Covid-19 was like a wall that kept us apart,
It kept me from you the desire of my passionate heart,
With the Virus no longer a factor to keep us at bay,
Now we are faced with the problem of getting away,
So that we can spin time together just you and me,
To release our passions and set our inhibitions free,
Yes, we are poorly prepared for the meeting that’s at hand,
But we are rich in love when we have each other as Woman and Man!
