Three for One

           Out Of Reach
I stand upon this lonely shore, and gaze across the sea,
Its waters far too deep and wide,
And not ship that will abide,
To carry me to thee.

I linger here, and pensive brood, and cold wind blows the while,
To chill a heart and soul forlorn,
But still I hold to keep me warm,
The memory of your smile.

            Ephemeral Light
As night enshrouds the world in shadows drear,
‘Till moon and stars through tattered vapors peer,
Then softly silver spills o’re mundane things,
And up a rare enchanted landscape springs,
So, gently, was my life created new,
In every moment that I spent with you.

            Distant
I think of you when evening comes, and twilight paints the skies,
And one more lonely day of toil, in quiet slowly dies,
A rose and turquoise miracle, upon the moment lies,
A thousand sunsets would I trade, to look into your eyes.
