The Trophy Of A Troubled Couple

There  once was a beautiful child,
Her parents very dutiful  and fond,
But they both needed to,
Run the race of life,
So they would decide,
Whose turn it was daily,
To babysit the child,
Sometimes by mutual consent,
Or else by toss of a coin,
The parent for the day ,
They would decide.

But soon cares of life,
And the demands of profession,
Began to stretch,
Their limits of sacrifice,
As the beautiful girl,
Continued to grow evergreen,
Unhindered by her parents plight.

She craved attention,
Of one or both parent,
Through tough waters they waded,
Ready for the tempest,
That life would inevitably bring,
For anything was acceptable,
For this Trophy of a Troubled Couple.
