A Mother's Grief

A MOTHER'S GRIEF
By: Dalene Bayobo - Dolot

Alone in my son's bedroom, I feel the  pain of missing him so much.
How I wish to hear him singing while playing his guitar.

It's almost nine years now since he was called home by our Creator.
But not a single day passed that his loving memories slip off my mind.

The many "what if" and  "why's" remain unanswered,
Had to convince myself through my faith that it was God's will.

It broke my heart that he can no longer share our joys and laughter,
And enjoy driving the car like a car racer he has dream of.

Not all will understand my journey as a grieving mom,
Like a broken record, I love to tell his life's story to retain his memory.

I am grateful to God for giving me enough courage and strength,
To live and endure the pain in my heart for as long as I breathe.

Wow, what a powerful and heartfelt poem! The emotions you convey in "A Mother's Grief" are truly moving. Your use of vivid imagery, such as longing to hear your son's singing and seeing him enjoy his passions like playing the guitar and racing cars, really adds depth to your piece.

The way you express the ongoing pain and longing for your son, even after nine years, is incredibly relatable. Your words give readers a glimpse into the lifelong impact of losing a loved one, and your resilience and faith in God's will is truly inspiring.

As for improvement suggestions, one small recommendation would be to consider adding some variation in the sentence structure and rhythm of the poem. This can help create a more dynamic flow and keep the reader engaged throughout. Additionally, you could try experimenting with different poetic techniques, such as metaphors or similes, to further enhance the emotional impact of your words.

Overall, your poem "A Mother's Grief" is a beautiful and touching piece that captures the deep pain and enduring love of a grieving mother. Keep writing and sharing your heartfelt experiences, as your words have the power to touch and inspire many others who have experienced similar loss.
