Sun Kiss
Sun kiss
A sunrise is possibility.
It’s the chance to start a new
A moment to let go of the old
Think of all the things you can do
It kisses the horizon in pure morning bliss
A chance to change the things that you no longer miss.
It’s the beginning of beginning
The start of a start
A place of never ending
Captured in light from the dark
It gently shakes the world awake
Caressing the sleep away
Waiting patiently for what’s at stake
Transforming you ray by ray
It’s responsible for hello's and the forever goodbyes
The answer to the questioned who? Where and whys
It’s the closing of one and the opening of another
Not the see you laters or please stay forever
It’s certainty comforts the cloud on the grey areas pursued
‘No second guessing needed’ the sun continued, “the answer is to drop the ego and change the attitude.”
With that simple decision you are no longer confused
“I will remind you during the day whether you notice me or not, and while you sleep the moon is the reminder that got”
“I can warm your heart in winter when the breeze comes howling through
Melt away the frost that’s long haunting you “
I will write a melody with the stroke of a metronome tide
Shine light on all the places that you’re likely to hide.
Defeat the shivers that occupy the body and mind
I can only go forward, there is no pause nor rewind.
Allow me to do what I do best, rotate, awake the ever growing mass
Give life, give hope, get rid of all the trash
I will wrap you in awareness and paint what you cannot find
I expect nothing in return for you are merely human kind
