Sin

WORDS TO MY SIN.

Teacher...

I plead you be lenient with me.
But never gentle.
I can be obedient.
With the right nutrients.
I plead your patience
While I'm still arrogant.

I am like metal steel.
Hard and stubborn.
Almost never bending.
I plead you to forge me...
I plead each word you utter
Sharpens to shape me to be a better weapon.

I know I'm lucent.
I deserve a sit amongst the stars.
But even a star dies...
When exhausted.
And brightness dims...
When overused.
It is said stars illuminate.
The brightest in darkness.

Currently I'm enshrouded...
By darkness.
Blinding the path to the stars.
That darkness is me.
I'm helpless.
While my mind in a hiatus.
I lack awareness due to the...
Thoughts of being flawless.
I'm envious of other geniuses.
Like where's the fairness?

I'm restrained by...
The thoughts of failure .
I'm allured to...
The potion that brings failure.
I'm weak..
From the poison I concocted.
I lure myself..
To deeper lairs of regret.
I drink myself to despair
I'm a heir to self hatred.

Believe me when I say.
I'm fighting battles with myself.
Battles that I only win.
When I don't fight back.
Battles only the chivalrous win.
Instead of fighting my reflection.
In the mirror.
I'm debating with my shadow.
In the meadow.
