Remember me

Today marks 437 days,
everything from the past is slowly turning into a haze,
I wish I could say this was just a faze.

But when I try to sleep, I can’t close my eyes,
because if I do, will I still be alive?

I remember sitting on the beach til the sunset went down,
and watching the waves pull us from the ground.

I remember feeling so safe in your arms,
as you held me so tight,
and kissed me good night.

And I remember telling you I loved you for the first time,
not realising it would be the last.

If I could go back and change anything, I wouldn't be scared, I wouldn't run and hide, and maybe then, you'd still be alive.

I'm lost, I need help, tell me what to do, should I keep fighting or walk away? If I gave up, would you still be proud of me?

I don't know how much more I can take,  I'm starving without food, and
how many more friends do I need to lose before I start fading away too?

Just promise me, no matter what I choose, you will always remember me, as I do you.
