Pain

Coming in like a thief in a night trying to make room for a destination that will never have a spot with your name on it. Causing sleep to take flight. A face full of tears. Heart full of fears. Tossing and turning playing tug of war no help in sight not even a light. Trying to take what’s rightfully own by lungs. Not going out without a fight. There is no comfort zone here for you. I will fight this 1 man battle as if it was an army. You will not win Pain ten toes strong I stand head up, chest out strong as I can be. Peace I shall have and will have that is a promise. For I am strength and it’s full definition. It’s most definitely going to take more than you to make me crumble to make fumble but I can rumble never will I tumble.  Football is my game and my grip is for dear life. Hit the nearest exit. This is not what you want never will there be comfort with your name on it. At least not in this body, sight, or mind frame. Again for I am strength and it’s complete definition from the S to the H. Yea that’s me. Move on to next. My roommate is healing and his bags is fully unpacked. I mean shoes off, eating dinner, bedtime ready. Comfort zone.

About this poem

I have chronic illness most days I’m wearing a fake facial expression to get through my day without being asked a million questions. When really I’m hurting deeply

Guns and weapons are not for my fight. Pen and paper is more of my type. Writing is my passion throw a word in front of me I bet I kill it. When writing I feel each word. I can feel each scene. I was born to write. more…
