Non Sense

Tumelo Moletsane 2001 (Pretoria)

Night introduces day,
How the dark ushers in the light,
The morning star is the first sign,
However the crescent smiles first,
Change is inevitably unilateral,
Mythologies carry some sense of truth,
For the time being that is youth,
Fantasy soothes what strives to be new,
Life and death
are symbiotic components of reality,
Logic and reason
are the building blocks of society,
And lies are convenient to protect the truth,
Just for the sake of morality,

Dawn dances with the twilight,
A symphony of colors, celestial delight,
A knight relies on the moon's gentle beam,
Guiding steps through shadows, a spectral gleam,
When swords are drawn and enemies are sought,
No war can ever end without battles fought,
The past, a tapestry woven in history's weave,
A picture framed, memories tucked in each sleeve,
The present, an illusion bridging time's flow,
A fleeting moment, a transient show,
And yesterday fails to exist because
the future is simply a lie we follow,

Let words weave a tapestry, rhythms unfold,
As poet's ink spills, emotions untold,
With each stanza, each line, a symphony's embrace,
A poetic journey, boundless and in grace,
In the depth of verse, let meaning unfurl,
A dance of language, a poetic swirl,
For poetry's beauty lies in its endless sea,
Where words become waves of eternity.

About this poem

Simply an expression of midnight thoughts.
