innocent

Her soft long  blue-black hair flows to her despair
covering her face and her innocent blue eyes full of tears
her name is innocent
slowly she turns
adults burnt her soul, abused her, and used her
slowly she turns
her eyes rolled back into her head, white to red
slowly she turns
love to death,  blue-black hair dyed red
the teenager emerges
with evil red eyes and an evil smirk
cold blood drips from her hands
the power she holds dear hold cold hard steel
for the first time and a long time, the world sees their handy work
white baby breath and flower-pink sheets covered in dirt
for the first time, the world sees a child hurt
brought to full range, the story of her killing on every news page
look into the eye of every child you meet left cold, hungry, and afraid
look into the eye of every child you meet
innocence to uncaged rage
