I know you

I know today
It is the reason for my yesterday
It is my strength for tomorrow
I know today
It is a reminder of my stripped culture
A reminder of my why
I know today
It is why I am attached to my ancestors
It is why I learn
I know today
It is why education is my strength
It is why family is a gift
Oh I know today
It is why mistakes are lessons
It is why unity is a blessing
Yes! I KNOW today
It is why my head is high
My full lips smile with pride
My eyes are a knowing pride
My voice is a menace
My brain is a Justice
My accomplishments remembered
My heart a dominion
Yessssssssss I know today
Happy Juneteenth ALL
