Hope

Chained by the shackles of defeat.
Here I stand.
Bleeding defeat,
but still I stand.
Calmly I stand
Standing with understanding that there's hope.

Hope for tomorrow,
tomorrow my future,
Bright as ever, I know

Thus I break out from generational curses,
Curses I used to live with
Without choice or freedom, I tried to break out

Still with hope I stand
Strong as before, I win
Not a trophy, a lesson
Lessons that builds me
and stronger I become
