House Of Lies

House of lies
Such a demise
Caught in surprise
Can’t believe what’d you’d see with your eyes
Nothings spoken
These walls don’t talk
But if you were there
You wouldn’t know how to begin to walk
You can’t believe what is said
People often encourage the truth to be mislead
House of lies
Wonder why sometimes
People play games with your mind
Just you and I
Strapped to a cage
While others turn and look the other way
And skip over the page
No one takes fault
It doesn’t affect them
It’s your fault they’d say
They turned and locked the bolt
How did I ever survive?
In this house made of lies
You close your eyes
Pretend your someone else
Who doesn’t feel the terror of their cries
Destruction exposed
But then mistold
Now everyone’s getting old
Caught up in a hell
Created under a magic spell
No one says they can tell
Till your words just expel
No, I’m fine
Contradicting myself all the time
It may be how u were taught to react
Then turn around and take it all back
The damage is done
So you’re released and u run
As far as u can go
Cause in this house of lies
U never really felt it was home
So when you’re long gone
U make a vow
Never to go back to that place and to forget what once was
Most people only wish after this
They could do what it is I have done
