Take us away from this life

Kimberly Tenold 2008 (Missouri)

For you to say Goodmorning
Is all I wish for tonight
The sound of your voice
As the sun is waking
Telling the moon to hide for awhile
And giving the stars a break
A beauty to marvel at
Nature and its routine
At midday the sun is at high noon
When I'm wishing that I see you soon
Beneath the stars I hold you under
Till sunrise
When we hear the subtle sound
Of that clock I now despise
Each and every day that passes by
Up and out of bed
Before kissing me goodbye
Keys to a car that isnt just mine
Turn over and crank an ignition
So I can hear you drive between each line
To a job that'll take us away from this life
