Everything's In The Wind
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
When we quit the basis of sensation,
All is in the wind.
Everything’s in the wind.
The mind, a lonesome wanderer,
Dreams of terrors and uncharted realms.
In shadows, whispers reside,
Their haunting echoes, desperate to be heard.
The veil between reality and nightmare
Tenuous, fragile, easily shattered.
A kaleidoscope of phantoms dance,
As the moon casts its spectral spell.
Born of imagination, yet soaked in truth,
Darkness encroaches, clutching at our souls.
The wind whispers secrets untold,
Lost fragments of forgotten tales.
Innocence, like petals on a dying flower,
Wither away, consumed by the void.
Embrace the darkness, It's all we know,
When we quit the basis of sensation.
In the realm of dreams and shadows,
The line blurs, reality bends.
Infinite possibilities unfold,
As the mind unravels its twisted tales.
Beware, as the wind carries whispers,
What lies beneath can devour,
In the depths of fear and madness.
