His Toil - Away

He lived a life of hard toil,
Never seeming to cease...
He toiled hard each and every day,
Never seeming to cease...
For in the toil he found relief,
He found he could be without the drink...
Soon God steps in and takes control,
To stop the endless, endless toil...
For body ravaged by the toil and drink,
Gives way to ravaged soul deplete...
God knows best for each our plate,
He will cease the endless toil of defeat...
God Takes His Toil Away...

For the One I Remember and Love!

About this poem

My poem is about my husband, Joe. My husband was a hard worker, and when he wasn't working he loved having a good time. He passed away as the result of a motorcycle accident on September 11, 2002. My husband loved his motorcycles, he loved life to the fullest. I will forever and always love this man. There was no one like him. His entire family loves and misses him. He will always be remembered and loved. Dedicated to Joe ... 1952~2002
