D.A.R.E

I used to listen to morning birds hum
I used to love pickled plum
I used to sing and drum
Now I just get high

Sadness was a wave
Chaining me to the void like a slave
Then appeared the substance I crave
So now I just get high

I had dreams of writing a book
Which I abandoned for the hook
The bliss is now what I cook
So now I just get high

Like the anxiety and stress,
My brain's serotonin began to repress
No excitement, no activities to obsess
So I solve that by getting high
