Here Without You

Holly Nichole Pagan 1988 (Birmingham)

It's nights like this I miss you and wish that you were near.
The Lord decided to take you for reasons left unclear.
Days have passed by now and I just want to hear your voice.
I know you would have stayed if you were only given the choice.
With each new day without you, it is weighing on my heart.
The daily tears I shed because I never imagined we would be apart.
I hope you are thinking about me the way that I am you.
After you departed, clinching to the memories shared that being the only thing left to view.
You willingly showed how much you cared.
I never had to worry because I know if I needed you, you would be there.
Now you have passed on and entered heavens gates, greeted by the ones that loved you and seeing you was well worth the wait.
So please watch over me until I get to see you again, you were an amazing father, husband, son, and a very special friend.
