Chasing illusions

In a realm of illusions, we grasp the untrue,
Trading authentic love for what can't come through.
The ultimate price we pay, a bittersweet vice,
For we chase the unattainable, and make  it the ultimate price

Love is unappreciated when at our finger tips
when it doesn't come as a gulp but as little sips
maybe elusive love, just gives some dopamine
or could there be a deeper meaning?

This is why Mothers show care
This is what our Fathers fear
to make sure we're not out seeking external validation
above academics  , this is life's biggest examination

it's hazy no one can see
or am i the blind one
the blind one for thinking , love most given should me most appreciated
well as it is said the sane man is mad in a world of lunatics
