Lonely Child

It's desolate in this lonely life,
It's dark where there is light.
Trying to find someone to love,
But just can't win the fight.
Listen to my soul for truth,
Get deafened by people's blatant lies.
I've lost myself amid my shame,
Can't someone just hear my cries.
Just me myself and only I,
Turn to rust, wait to die.
I pray one day someone See's,
This lonely child that hides inside.

Mitch Hagen

To put things blunt, I'm currently in active drug addiction. Have been since I was very young. The poems I write reflect my struggle but also my fight. I like to write about my feelings, family, friend's, and of course my addiction. I put a lot of thought into each poem and each and every one was written from deep inside my soul.
