Me Like, Me Like...Bye Bye!

With an uplifting advertising,
Of a wholesome life to live it done.
Òffered to experience,
Like nowhere else to wish it comes.
Only one country,
Seems to offer...
Impossible dreams,
For everyone to guarantee...
Even the impossible is true to see viewed.

And yet...
So called immigrants,
Rushing to enter through its guarded borders.
Are immediately profiled,
From head to toe.
Inside and out.
To hear it heard from mouths to shout.
That only a few,
Fitting the image of a democracy advertised.
Will be allowed entrance.
If they can prove to be a relative,
With pictures taken together on a yacht.
Holding in a hand a fistful of cash.
Somewhere stashed to grab and fast.
While laughing and,
Sipping champagne, nibbling on caviar.
No matter how impressive.
This may or may not qualify as clear evidence.
Depending on how much money they've got.

Upon request.
And to then reveal,
Investments made in stocks and bonds.
To validate without them further waiting.
With a pledging their allegiance to devote,
And on a Bible sworn to swear...
That if they should suddenly pass away.
Unknown to anyone when.
Although the possibility is there.

Inspected and swift...
All possessions claimed and reported,
On a list assessed to value worth.
Will and can assist and support,
The aging health of a weakening economy!
Signed over and this kept to keep promised.

Ummm...
Intriguing.
Delightful.
Antiques inherited from ancestors too?
Oh, my.
What a surprising discovery.

'But me.
Me no speak the ENGLISH!'

Hey?
You want in or not?

'YES, YES ME DO.'

Is what on this very long list,
Yours alone to possess?
Quick at a moment's notice,
To pack up and get?

'YES, YES...
ME OWN ALL.
In storage.
Me locked left.
Me say storage, correct?'

Well...
From what I hear,
Your English is perfect.
Now...
Go stand with the others in that short line.
To swear and pledge,
You understood every word of these papers.
To sign over everything you have,
With an enjoying,
Of your anticipated happy life.
To imagine as seen on this brochure.
Created in highest of vivid inviting colors.
With a keeping your dreams kept to wish,
For you to come true.
As if you were actually there.
Dripping wet and smiling.
Surrounded to hear,
The chirping of tropical birds

'OH. Me like birds. Nice. Nice.
Pretty.
Me thanks.
Me many, many thanks.'

No problem.
And let me say this...
If not for you,
I wouldn't have a job.
I'd be begging on some street.
For food to eat.
You know...
I once had been an immigrant too!
Then one day, out of the blue?
Easier the game became to play it.

'OH?
Me love games.
Love, love...
Me love games, lots!'

Wonderful.
But...
Remember this to not forget.
And...
In your ear I'll whisper it close enough.
Some games are played to win.
And other games are just played.

'OH me like. Me like!
Me like to be played.
You funny.
You funny.
Me happy.
Me glad, bye bye!'
