Jeffery

When we were younger

Things came easier to me

Now that I am older

It seems it is not meant to be

The desire is still there

As is all the love

No matter where you are

It still feels like you were sent from above

Sometimes I can feel your hands

All over my body and soul

Holding me close like rubber bands

Making my face glow

With the passion of a million

Thoughts filling my brain

Sometimes a billion

Driving me insane

Now we are to take

After nine years

A little bit of a break

Without shedding tears
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   It seems impossible to me

That something like this could’ve happened

To us: souls who were meant to be

I will never be prepared

I fell in love with you

When I was fifteen years old

Now I am blue

Fourteen years later out in the cold

About this poem

this is to help me deal with grief
