In the Hollow Depths

In the hollow depths where shadows creep,
Amidst the echoes of forgotten weep,
I wander, lost, in a world grown old,
Where time's relentless grip takes hold.

The city streets, a labyrinthine maze,
Haunt with whispers of long-forgotten days.
A chorus of voices, a discordant blend,
Lost souls seeking solace, longing to mend.

Amidst the turmoil of bustling lives,
Existence spins in fragmented gyves.
Time unravels in fragmented pieces,
Moments scattered, like ethereal fleeces.

The weight of history bears heavy and low,
The specter of regret, a relentless foe.
With every step, I tread on past remains,
In the footprints of those who carried life's pains.

The towered spires, reaching for the skies,
Bear witness to dreams that met demise.
Their grandeur now fading, crumbling stone,
Testament to empires that long since have flown.

In the depths of souls, a quiet despair,
An ache that lingers, an unanswered prayer.
For in this world of fragmented hearts,
We search for meaning as it swiftly departs.

Yet within the darkness, a flickering spark,
A glimmer of hope in the endless dark.
For amidst the ruins, new life takes root,
A fragile bud emerging, bearing truth.

The echoes of the past may linger on,
But new horizons beckon, a new dawn.
With words as my guide, I journey forth,
In search of beauty, of love's true worth.

Though shadows loom and darkness prevails,
Within the heart, a resilience prevails.
For even in the face of life's cruel jest,
We strive for meaning, to be truly blessed.

So let us wander through this timeless maze,
With hope as our compass, through endless days.
In the spirit of Eliot, we find our voice,
And in our words, we conquer and rejoice.
