Where were you the day God called you home

Was it a busy day at work did your boss call you a jerk or did you have a fight with your spouse? did you storm out of the house?

Did you say something to your child who is acting silly or wild? did you push them away when they had something to say?

Where were you the day God called you home?

Did you help a friend in need or did you say no in greed? did you ignore that stranger in church or did you maybe help them out of a lurch?

The lady behind the counter who is working crazy hours, did you offer a kind word or a smile or has it been a while?

Did you yell at them over something small or ruin their day over nothing at all or did you show them Gods love because of what he’s done for you? Did you accept them as one of Gods own or show them love directly from God’s throne?

Where were you the day God called you home.

That inevitable day what will they say? Will they say he was loving and kind?
What imprint did you leave in their mind?

For this life is only a flash not much time to do what’s right during the dash
How did we use our God-given skills?
Did we use them to obtain cheap moments of thrills?
Or did we use them to change a life and point to the love that comes only from Christ?

Well I do not know when that moment will come, when my work is complete and He says Well Done
But I do know some day my place will be standing next to Him in all glory
My hope is, my friend, you will be there with me rejoicing forever in eternity.

Where were you the day God called you home?
