The Purest Love

A rocking chair stands stoically gazing across the renewal of spring and the cold of winter

A winsome reminder of a true lady who was placed on this earth to emulate grace

A pure and beautiful heart - a soul filled with unconditional love

Arms made for encasing all she knew in deep and true comfort

The power to listen with no judgement and to provide supportive words meant to heal

When she was called home devastation and joy filled each loved one

Left behind was a loving spirit that remains in the sweet smiles of new generations

The renewal of each day passing with the knowledge that from Heaven above we were given the most precious gift

About this poem

I wrote this poem about my Granny who was the picture of grace and unconditional love, just as every grandparent should be.
